Increased traffic fines
The best way to save money in Denmark is: not having to pay fines. Even more so now. Since January 1, 2012 traffic fines have been increased tremendously. Any bike fine costs 700 DKK and fines for cars now start at 1,000 DKK and some have increased by 400%.
Note: a fine has been introduced now for using a mobile phone also for cyclists.
A big Thanks to our member Davide for pointing us to the increase in fines.
