Plans for 2010
Dear Worktrotters,
Welcome to 2010! I hope you had a great holiday and you are full of energy for what the new year will bring.
We have lined up great things to make our life in Denmark fun and valuable:
- We’ll extend what we’ve done in 2009 (see summary):
* We will continue the series of practical Spark-up events, the Vi taler dansk and the Business-corner meetings.
* In addition we will have new series of events on our agenda. As of now, we have lots going on for IT-people, but we’ll focus on innovation, professional development, work-place aspects, entrepreneurship, private finances and many other topics. These events will provide “brainfood” and fun. We’ll run these events in cooperation with other organizations and some will be for free, others for fee. Take a look at the calendar and sign up for the events.
- Another important topic for 2010 is to make those organisations/businesses more visible that are run BY internationals and also those that provide services FOR internationals.
For now, see the list of international networks in Denmark. There is no reason to feeling lonesome!
New-comers to Denmark will be interested in The Worktrotter’s Guide to Denmark. http://www.worktrotter.dk/guide. It is a practical guide, a handbook really, written from the angle of foreigners and focusing on all the aspects newcomers need to know. By understanding the country better, you will feel more in control of your new life and will have a smoother transition – and above all, it enables you to make more out of your life in Denmark.
For those new to Worktrotter: Be an active part of this network of international professionals. It doesn’t matter if your stay in Denmark will be of a long or short duration – we want to make most out of our stay here and we want to be more visible in the Danish society as the valuable members we are. You can register here.
And with this, I’d like to wish you Good luck in 2010.
I am very much looking forward to see you at the upcoming events.
Best regards,
Dagmar Fink
