Chapter 19. Last steps – farewell, Denmark

This is an excerpt from the Worktrotter's Guide to Denmark.
The Worktrotter's Guide to Denmark

Although the first steps may have been a bit complicated, the last ones are all the
more easy.

Accommodation
Find out in advance from your landlord how much notice you have to give before leaving. Make sure that you hand in your notice in time. The period of notice is normally three months. If you have paid a deposit (indskud), ask your landlord how the money will be returned to you. If you have any problems, the National Organisation of Tenants (see Chapter 11.6) might be able to give advice.
If you own property in Denmark, you may have difficulty selling it at your desired price; real estate is more of a buyers market these days. See Chapter 11.
